Artist Statement
Currently, I make colorful bowls – large sgraffito bowls and small pinch pots: Big Bowls, Little Bowls and Tiny Bowls. I started out using hand cut linoleum to create patterns on plates, mostly fruit and vegetables. I have done some throwing but I like hand building better.
Bio
Now retired, I was a graphic designer working for non-profits including the YMCA of the USA, Chicago Botanic Garden, and the Evanston Art Center. Ceramics is now my creative outlet. I live in Evanston across from Mustard’s. My two daughters live in Evanston so I get to see them and my two grandsons all the time.
